Still Surviving ! Marcia Barrett issues new expanded edition of her 1999 album ‘ SURVIVAL ‘
During the years of 1976 to 1989 Marcia Barrett was one of the members of
Disco/Pop Act Boney M.
When the band split up Marcia recorded a solo album in the 1990s, but the release of the record had to wait.
The project, which she started with husband Marcus James took a back seat when Marcia was diagnosed with cancer.
She had to fight the disease twice.
By 1997 the album had a title: “Survival”, finalised with US producer Scott Christina
( also known as DJ Infiniti, Furry Mulatto ) on Avalon Records.
However, because of circumstances it wasn’t until 1999 that the album
was published, not globally and without much promotion.

During her time with Boney M. she scored chart hits like ‘ Daddy Cool ‘,
‘ Ma Baker ‘, “Gotta Go Home“, ‘ Rivers of Babylon ‘.
She sang the lead vocal for hits ‘ Belfast ‘ and ‘ We Kill The World ( Don’t Kill The World ) ‘.
